Raiders captain pens new four-year extension

Canberra Raiders captain Jarrod Croker has signed a four-year extension which will see him remain in the nation’s capital until the end of the 2024 season.

The 29-year-old will most likely break the record for most games played for the club in this time, with his new deal giving him the opportunity to surpass Jason Croker’s tally of 318 matches.

Jarrod made his debut for the Raiders in 2009 and is on course to break nearly all of the clubs point-scoring records.

“I’m a Raider and I always want to be a Raider,” Croker told the club website.

“I only ever want to play for one club in the NRL and that’s the Raiders, and hopefully I can see out my career here.”

“I want to win a premiership for this club and this community. We had a great season in 2019 and it’s up to me along with Josh Hodgson to help lead the team to another successful season.”
