Rob Burrow has raised huge awareness about the fight against Motor Neurone Disease with the Leeds Rhinos’ legend having been battling the disease for just over three years.

During that time period millions of pounds has been raised on behalf of Burrow by the rugby league community with his best mate Kevin Sinfield flying the flag and raising over £7 million.

Tomorrow, January 10th, an unexpected name might be raising more money for the fight against MND and that name is Beep Beep Burrow.

Beep Beep Burrow is a six-year-old racehorse that is owned by the Good Racing Company and he’s set to make his maiden run of 2023 tomorrow at Doncaster races.

Any prize money earned by the horse goes straight towards raising awareness for MND with the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Hospitals Charity being the two beneficiaries.

The second horse to be named after the Rhinos’ legend, Beep Beep Burrow runs in the 17-runner 3:30pm race and will have Craig Nichol riding him.

Burrow Seven was the first horse in association with the former Rhinos’ number seven, and having raced four times and achieving place money twice Burrow Seven has now been retired and will begin work as a therapy horse.

Currently priced at 33/1 Beep Beep Burrow will be watched by Rob and family as they attend the racecourse to hopefully watch the Jedd O’Keefe horse win.

Wearing silks that represent the iconic amber and blue of Burrow’s beloved Leeds Rhinos, Beep Beep will be one of the most popular winners of the year should he get his head in front during the race that is named in his honour – the “Good Luck ‘Beep Beep Burrow’ Open Maiden National Hunt Flat Race”.
