Warrington Wolves Head Coach Steve Price praised halfback Gareth Widdop after a man-of-the-match performance against Wakefield Trinity.
It rounded off a good day personally for Widdop, who has been called up into Shaun Wane’s England squad ahead of the mid-season test later this month.
Price said he will be a great asset for England.
He said:”Really pleased for Gaz is I feel that he’s been the form player of the competition. So he’s going to be a great asset for England, and we’re just really pleased for him.
“He’s in a good place, he’s playing terrific and I think it’s reflective of what he was doing in pre-season.”
