With John Duffy’s sacking as Leigh coach earlier today, the rumour mill has been in overdrive with Andrew Henderson one of the main names touted to replace the ex-Featherstone boss.
Some sources had revealed that the Warrington assistant had already agreed a deal with the basement-bottom club, but Wolves head coach Steve Price rubbished reports.
“I’ve just been informed about all that speculation,” Price said.
“Hendo and myself have a great relationship and if that was the case, he’d have spoken to me, but he hasn’t.
“However, Hendo is a quality up-and-coming young coach, he’s ready to go and if the situation arose I’m confident he’d do a really sound job.
“But he hasn’t spoken to me about it.”
