Price looking for better this season

Warrington Wolves Head Coach Steve Price has said he will look for better in his side this season.

They had a really good start to 2019, after winning the Challenge Cup and looked for much of the season as though they would be St Helens’ closest challengers.

But a bad run of form following their win at Wembley saw them finish fourth in the Super League table. They eventually lost in the playoffs at the first hurdle against Castleford Tigers.

Price said: We’ve got to look not necessarily at different styles but we’ve got to better. We’re always looking to stay ahead of the game, and there is a lot of good things we have done as a club.

“The lads won a Challenge Cup last year, and were second for a large portion of the season until the last few games of the season so there were a lot of good things.

“But we need to keep on getting better and better, that’s the challenge. I’d like to think as a coaching group, we have added a few bits and bobs, but we feel with the new personnel we brought in they have strong attributes which add to that dimension.”

They will be hoping to start the season in the right way when they travel to Wigan Warriors to open the new Super League season on 30th January.
