Price is Right

Warrington Wolves Head Coach Steve Price has signed a 2 year extension to his current deal at the HJ Stadium , tying him to the club until at least November 2021 .

Prices’ current deal was due to run until the end of next season , but after a season where the club returned to the top 4 and reached both finals the Wolves board wanted to extend the former St George Illawarra Coaches stay in Super League .

Price told the club website about his decision to extend his current deal   ‘It’s a fantastic club with great people involved, so I wasn’t going anywhere . I came here for a reason, to get that silverware. I love being part of Warrington and my wife and kids are happy and settled here. I honestly feel we can make a difference with the strength of our playing group and I’m really looking forward to 2019. ‘

Wire Chief Exec Karl Fitzpatrick was delighted to secure the services of the much sought after coach saying   ‘We are delighted to have extended Steve’s contract by a further two years .  The progression the team has made under his leadership has been fantastic. Making two major finals in his first season was a positive step . However, I know how driven he is to go one step further in 2019 and deliver silverware for this club and its fans.  His work ethic and professionalism are exceptional, making him one of the best young coaches in the game. We’re fortunate he’s giving us his commitment for at least another three years.’

The Wolves kick off their 2019 Super League campaign at home to Leeds on February 2nd .
