Predicted final Super League table with Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR given big boost

Leeds Rhinos Brad Arthur

Wigan Warriors are still the favourites to get their hands on Super League silverware later this autumn. Matt Peet’s side are second in the Super League table at present, behind league leaders Hull KR on points difference and with just four games to go, the League Leaders’ Shield is well and truly up for grabs.

The two sides face each other next week at the Brick Community Stadium in a game that could well decide the order of the competition’s top two going into the play-offs. On current form the clash could also be a dress rehearsal for the Grand Final, with the two sides doing all they can to reach Old Trafford.

Of course, the Robins have never reached a Super League Grand Final, but Wigan are no stranger to the Theatre of Dreams and having won the competition in 2023, they’ll be determined to retain their title.

Wigan may be marginally behind KR in the table at present, but they’re still considered the favourites to win the competition with Betfred seeing them as 1/1 favourites. Rovers, on the other hand, are priced at 3/1, which is considerably shorter than the price being offered by most bookies just a few weeks ago.

Warrington Wolves, who are third and two points off the pace, are priced at 4/1, with Sam Burgess’ side safe from the battle for the top six that has emerged beneath them.

St Helens are the fourth favourites to win at Old Trafford, with odds being offered of 10/1 and that’s despite the fact they sit just one point above seventh at the time of writing. Paul Wellens’ side have struggled with injuries this season and having made a habit of falling short in the biggest games, they are 10 points behind the League Leaders’ Shield pace. However, their talent and recent play-off history still makes them candidates for the Grand Final crown it seems.

Salford Red Devils are at 28/1, while Leeds Rhinos, Catalans Dragons and Leigh Leopards are all at 33/1. The three clubs are all pushing to secure a spot in the top six and it seems the battle is wide open right now after results in the previous two or three rounds.

Leeds are the side in eighth, two points off the top six, but their odds will be most encouraging to supporters at Headingley, with Brad Arthur’s side pushing to complete what at one stage looked to be an unlikely turnaround in fortunes. Leigh will fancy their chances, too, despite a run in that is less than favourable.

Would think that with 4 matches left it is a bit previous to try to predict where the clubs will be at end of season. as in last few games some predictable results haven,t happened.after another 2 games then would be predictable.
