Castleford head coach Daryl Powell says the teams in contention for the playoffs should play their final round matches on the same night.
The Tigers trip to Wigan has been brought forward to Thursday for Sky TV coverage with their top five rivals Hull FC playing St Helens on Friday.
It’s a decision that has bemused Powell, whose team know anything other than a win at the DW Stadium will leave the door open for the Airlie Birds.
“I don’t think it’s great, to be honest,” Powell told Hull Live. “If you’re going to put all the relegation games on the same day, is the play-offs not as important?
“I think they should have (kicked off at the same time). That makes it fair for both teams.
“We’ve got to win the game and not worry about anything on the peripheries. But I think it could have been done a little better.”
