Powell opens up on Greg Eden’s “tough” experiences

He’s been notorious for flying down the wing for Castleford since signing in 2017, but Greg Eden has been in and out of the team in 2021.

Whether that’s been down to form or injury, the 30-year-old is finally back in contention to return to the Tigers’ starting line-up this week when Castleford play Leeds tonight.

With Eden receiving some good news off the field, Castleford head coach Daryl Powell hopes to see the winger now solely focus on rugby league.

“We just need to get him back on the field and getting him playing,” Powell said.

” We want him to be happy about himself in his life and enjoying the game because he’s had a tough run this year and he hasn’t been out on the field as much as he would have liked.

“So, I’m hoping that’s going to happen between now and the end of the season.”

The Tigers travel to Headingley on the back of a 34-16 home defeat to Huddersfield last weekend, but as many as ten players could come back into the fold for Powell’s men.
