The amount of injuries – and serious ones at that – is perhaps getting a little worrying within the sport of rugby league.

As stars take to the field, they all know that there is a risk of getting hurt, but sometimes injuries make the public wince with how painful they look.

Take Featherstone Rovers’ Connor Jones, for example, he posted a photo on social media of the after-effects of Rovers’ 28-13 victory over Batley yesterday.

Cleanly shaven, a horror cut on his chin immediately came to the fore with the caption “Rugby League eh”.

Obviously, a few stitches were needed with Jones looking in a jovial mood despite the deep cut!

Featherstone currently sit in second in the Championship with 14 wins from 15 games, but remain behind Toulouse who are unbeaten in 2021 and favourites for promotion.
