Player-swap deal between Super League club and Championship side falls flat

Featherstone Rovers’ Frankie Halton will be joining Hull KR in 2022, but there is another twist in the deal.

Rugby League Hub has revealed that Hull KR wanted Halton for the rest of this season, but that Featherstone wanted Will Dagger as part of the deal.

However, the Robins were unwilling to part with Dagger, so the fullback is to stay at the Hull College Craven Park, whilst Halton will join up with his new club in 2022.

Halton joined Featherstone ahead of the 2021 season from Championship rivals Swinton, but now the 25-year-old is making the move to the top-flight with KR who have fought off competition from other suitors.
