“People will say I’m biased” – Jon Wilkin makes Super League prediction

Super League returns to our screens after a week off tonight as Hull FC and Wigan Warriors collide like on Sky Sports.

Then on Friday night, we head over to France to see Catalans Dragons clash with Super League and World Champions St Helens.

Catalans are one of the four different clubs St Helens have beaten in the Grand Final as they claim four consecutive titles.

The Dragons finished top in 2021 but lost to Saints at Old Trafford and as they meet again both sides haven’t been as flawless as they were that season but a win will help their top four ambitions as both are certainly contenders this season.

Now former St Helens star Jon Wilkin has made his prediction for the big game.

He has backed his former club to win but acknowledged that people will call him biased as consequence.

“These are the games you look forward to as players and fans,” he said on Sky Sports.

“It is too good teams but I think I am going to have to go with St Helens. I think they will be too good.

“People will say it’s because I’m biased but they have been the best team for a number of years.

“Catalans are a good team but St Helens will be just too good.”
