Over the weekend, Hull FC booked their place in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals with a win over Castleford Tigers.

Their reward for that triumph is of course a clash against Super League and World Champions St Helens with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.

However, Paul Sculthorpe has warned his former club that it will be difficult against Hull FC:

“I mean Castleford; I think they’re having a tough time at the moment and probably a good game for Hull FC to exploit that. As you said as they grow in confidence as well and it’s in a better form they’re going to take some beating and I think it’s a tough round for Saints in the quarter finals, obviously in Hull as well,” he said on The Last Tackle.

This is because Sculthorpe believes they have one of the best spines in Super League.

He said:

“I mean so they should as well. You look at some of the players on that Hull FC side, and I watched the highlights again, you look at Clifford, Hoy, Jake Truman, there’s a lot of talent in that in that spine, and when they click they click.”
