Reigning Man of Steel Paul McShane has identified one Castleford player that he believes can win the most prestigious individual accolade.
That man is fullback Niall Evalds, the Tigers’ new recruit, who has joined the West Yorkshire club on a one-year deal.
McShane waxed lyrical about his new teammate, “the kid could be absolutely anything; the kid is electric, you don’t know what he’s going to do.”
“Hopefully, our way of playing sorts him down to the ground and he’s even more of a threat.
“You just can’t get anywhere near him. I think he’d definitely be up there.”
