Jarryd Hayne and Parramatta Eels player Nathan Brown have been reportedly involved in an ugly incident outside a Parramatta hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Brown and Hayne exchanged a barrage of abuse outside the Albion Hotel with a road worker who had allegedly launched a verbal tirade at Hayne.
Hayne will face a third trial on sexual assault allegations after recently being released from jail after nine months when his conviction was quashed in the Supreme Court.
Brown had played reserve grade earlier in the day before meeting Hayne at the hotel for dinner with their partners.
An Eels official says Brown denied earlier reports of a physical altercation.
“There was definitely no physical violence,” said an Eels source.
“Jarryd got hassled by a road worker and Nathan stood up for his friend.”
Hayne, 33, had been in jail for nearly ten months having been sentenced to at least three years and nine months in prison for the alleged sexual assault of a woman back in 2018.
