Parramatta Eels made it three wins from three games as the NRL made it’s return after the 10-week Covid-19 suspension, beating Brisbane 34-6 at Suncorp Stadium.
The Eels started the game stronger, with Marata Niukore powering his way over from close range, before the hosts hit back through a 40m individual effort from Brodie Croft.
Maika Sivo then managed to sneak his way over in the corner with an extraordinary effort 10 minutes before halftime to give Parramatta a 12-6 lead at the break.
The second half was all Eels, as they posted four tries and blew the Broncos away.

Clint Gutherson was first to cross the whitewash, throwing a dummy to slice through the Brisbane defensive line, with Michael Jennings soon adding a further six points after forcing his way over from close range after a jinking cross-field run.
With the game into its last 15 minutes, Shaun Lane crashed over for try number five, before Waqa Blake took Ryan Matterson’s offload to go over three minutes from time and seal the win.
