Papua New Guinea star joins London Broncos as latest overseas recruit confirmed

London Broncos

London Broncos have snapped up a second Papua New Guinea international ahead of the 2026 Championship season.

The Broncos are readying themselves to begin a new era next year and following Darren Lockyer’s takeover, they have the financial backing to make a splash in the second tier.

Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Siliva Havili are the club’s most high profile recruits so far, with Dean Hawkins and PNG’s Finley Glare also joining from down under.

And, the Broncos have now secured the signing of Morea Morea for the 2026 season, with the outside back agreeing to make the move from Central Queensland Capras to London.

Morea is a fully fledged Papua New Guinea international, having collected three caps for his country over the last 12 months. That tally includes two appearances in the Pacific Championships as a full-back this year, with outings and tries coming against Cook Islands and Fiji.

In fact, he has scored every time he has pulled on a Kumuls jersey, with a try coming in the Pacific Championships against Cook Islands last year, too. He has also made two appearances for the PNG Prime Minister’s XIII.

Despite his international exploits, Morea’s entire club career has been played out in the Queensland Cup so far, spending two and half seasons with the PNG Hunters before moving on to join the Capras earlier this year.

He scored 11 tries in 23 Queensland Cup games for the Hunters before making nine outings with the Capras between June and September.

The 24-year-old primarily plays as a full-back with London claiming he will add ‘raw speed, strength, and flair’ to Jason Demetriou’s squad.
