Papalii cleared to play in the Grand Final

Last night Canberra Raiders prop Josh Papalii was put on report for a brutal looking high tackle that would see South Sydney Rabbitohs fullback Adam Doueihi leave the field for a 15 minute Head Injury Assessment, Doueihi would later be cleared to return to the field.

The match review committee have since cleared the representative forward, meaning he will be cleared to play in next Sunday’s NRL Grand Final, the Raiders first Grand Final in 25 years.

The Raiders would be over the moon that their influential prop has been cleared, Papalii has scored 6 tries, made 59 tackle breaks, averages 13.3 hit ups per game and has made 702 tackles for an efficiency rate of 93.5%.

The only concern for the Raiders now is the condition of centre Joseph Leilua who went off in the second half with what has been speculated as a calf injury.
