Hull FC lost the derby yesterday but they have also seemingly lost one of their players too with centre Cam Scott looking like he’s left the club.
Centre Cam Scott looks to have cut ties with Hull FC after first debuting for them back in 2018 with a post on his social media apparently indicating that his time in black and white is over.
His exit at the end of the season was already confirmed with the 24-year-old signing a deal with Championship leaders Wakefield Trinity, however, that move looks to have happened sooner than expected.
Scott suffered a hamstring tear earlier this year with the timeline for recovery revealed to be approximately three months by interim head coach Simon Grix.
When confirming that, Grix stated: “Cam has got a significant hamstring tear and it’s going to be the long end of the scale in terms of recovery.
“Unfortunately, as we’re all aware now, Cam’s moving on at the end of the year, it could be a bit of a shame of a way for him to have finished his full FC career, unfortunately.”
It would now appear that the player and club have decided to part ways early.

Hull FC man leaves club for new start

That belief comes from a post on social media from Cam Scott with the 24-year-old taking a picture from outside the MKM Stadium after Hull FC’s derby defeat to Hull KR.
Scott captioned the image “Over and Out” with an accompanying emoji indicating a salute.
The post was made on his Instagram story, a non-permanent image that disappears after just 24 hours. It appears to have been initially posted in the minutes after FC’s 24-10 defeat to Hull KR yesterday.
It now seems that he will depart early and link up with Wakefield Trinity, doing his recovery with his new club in preparation of an off-season of training before the 2025 campaign.
A further indicator that Scott has left Hull FC comes from the fact that Hull Live have reported that he has been granted an early release, although that is yet to be confirmed publicly by the club.
During his time with Hull FC, Scott played 73 games having debuted in 2018. He played just 11 times this season but has not played since June 22nd when he suffered that season-ending hamstring injury.
In the days after that, Wakefield Trinity confirmed that they had signed him for 2024 which led to a spate of Hull FC fans accusing Scott of leaving for a paycheck, something that he strongly refuted.
