Ottawa snap up former Wigan academy forward

Catalans sack Frayssinous

Ottawa have confirmed the signing of back rower Jake Moore from Whitehaven for 2021.

Moore started out with amateur club Wath Brow Hornets before spending three years with the Wigan Warriors’ academy system.

He signed for ‘Haven in 2017, joined Cumbrian rivals Workington for a season in 2018, before re-joining Whitehaven in 2019.

“I just want to say how excited I am to be signing for the Ottawa Aces for the 2021 season,” he said. “It’s a brand new challenge for myself personally, one which I am really looking forward to.

“I’ve heard it’s a great place full of great people and I can’t wait to make some history along the way with this new club.”

Head coach Laurent Frayssinous added: “Jake’s signing is very pleasing and a big coup for our club. He comes from a great system.

“Like most of our players, he is versatile and he will bring speed, power and size to the team.”
