Ottawa make third signing ahead of 2021

Ottawa Aces have made Matty Fozard their third signing ahead of their maiden professional season in 2021.

Featherstone’s Louis Jouffret and Halifax’s Tom Gilmore have already confirmed as Aces players and will now be joined by the London Broncos hooker.

Fozard, 25, has made over 130 appearances throughout his career, including spells with St Helens, Batley and Sheffield, and has earned eight caps for Wales.

“I’d just like to say how excited I am to be a part of a new upcoming club with great plans for the future,” Fozard told the Aces’ official club website. “(I’m) really looking forward to embarking on this venture and meeting everyone over in Ottawa.”

Ottawa head coach Laurent Frayssinous added: “I am over the moon that Matty decided to join our project. He has vital super league experience.

“Matty has high expectations of himself and the team, which suits what we want to achieve perfectly. He can play different positions, is very strong defensively, and has a lot of skills to bring to the club.”
