One Super League club set to appeal ban after Hull FC, St Helens and Huddersfield Giants players get suspensions

There is set to be an appeal heard tonight for one Super League club following the latest bans handed out by the Disciplinary Match Review Panel.

Following the latest round of Betfred Super League fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

James Bell (St Helens) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Tui Lolohea (Huddersfield) – Grade B Tripping – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Jack Cogger (Huddersfield) – Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour – 2 Match Penalty Notice
Chris Hill (Huddersfield) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Josh Reynolds (Hull FC) – Grade B Other Contrary Behaviour – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Benjamin Jullien (Catalans) – Grade A High Tackle – 0 Match Penalty Notice

The following player was handed a caution:

Alex Gerrard (Salford) – Dangerous Contact

It will be Huddersfield that will be appealing the ban given to Jack Cogger for ‘Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour’, the RFL has confirmed after being contacted by Serious About Rugby League.

The Giants playmaker was sinbinned twice in their defeat to Warrington Wolves, but it’s the second one which has led to his ban for use of the knees.
