One off contract player Hull KR should try and sign

Though the 2023 Super League season has yet to begin, preparations for beyond that will have already begun especially as most sides have already done all their business for the 2023 barring the likes of Catalans Dragons, Leigh Leopards and potentially Salford Red Devils.

As in the NRL, considerations will be made to how squads for the 2024 season will look especially after they set the precedent down under of making signings well in advance because of the 1st November rule.

All sides have players off contract at the end of 2023 all of whom could feasible move away in 2024 though in general their current clubs have first dibs.

That doesn’t stop teams from trying to sign them however as we always see plenty of movement confirmed well in advance of a new season.

But which off contract player should Hull KR be targeting?

The Rovers have both Ryan Hall and Ethan Ryan coming to the end of their current deals as well as other outside backs.

Thus, this is the area that the Robins should be considering and there is a young winger who will be in high demand and would go brilliantly alongside the young talents already at Craven Park as they develop this exciting project.

That is Wakefield Trinity winger Lewis Murphy. He would be a major signing for the Robins.
