One of the world’s finest heads over to America in move Leeds Rhinos star should consider if injury troubles persist

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles full-back Tom Trbojevic will depart for America on Saturday to begin work with world renowned reconditioning specialist Bill Knowles.

Trbojevic will spend two weeks in Philadelphia with Knowles, who is currently working with Melbourne Storm full-back Ryan Papenhuyzen.

Knowles will work on reconditioning Trbojevic’s body, and in particular, his hamstrings, over 20 sessions in 10 days. Trbojevic suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain at training in December with a six to eight weeks recovery period expected.

Trbojevic will be joined on the trip by Sea Eagles Rehabilitation Physiotherapist Andrew Lowndes, who will learn from Knowles.

Super League star and Leeds Rhinos’ key man Harry Newman has had similar problems with his hamstrings almost being too powerful for his body to handle.

In 2o22, he suffered three hamstring injuries which saw him hardly feature though when he did play he was exceptional.

It is hoped that Newman will no longer struggle with such injuries in 2023 but if he does, this specialist in America is something for Rohan Smith and Leeds Rhinos to consider.

For now, Newman is reportedly touch and go for the opening Super League round against Warrington Wolves away on February 16th.

His fellow centre and former Leigh Leopards man Nene MacDonald is also a doubt.
