One of Super League’s best returns in huge boost for title challengers

Two of the top four collide at the Magic Weekend at St James’ Park.

Wigan Warriors take on Catalans Dragons in Newcastle. The Warriors got back on track last week with a win over Hull KR in golden point and thanks to Warrington Wolves’ defeat to Leigh Leopards, the Warriors are just two points off top spot and they can further cement their place in the top two, which comes with the all important home semi-final, with a win over one of their closest rivals Catalans Dragons.

The French outfit have defied the odds this season after being written off by most and have been doing it tough with injuries.

The team news is now.

Matt Peet has made one change to his 21-player squad as Academy product Harvey Makin is replaced by Jai Field, who comes back into contention following an injury lay-off after Wigan’s Round 7 win away to Leigh Leopards.

As for Catalans, Sam Tomkins, Mitchell Pearce and Alrix Da Costa are back in the squad and replace Matthieu Laguerre, CΓ©sar RougΓ© and Ugo Tison.
