O’Loughlin , Tomkins and Clark ruled out of Leeds test

Wigan Warriors injuries

England Coach Wayne Bennett has confirmed that the calf injury that ruled  England Captain Sean O’Loughlin out of Sunday’s test with New Zealand hasn’t recovered in time for him to play in Sunday’s final test at Elland Road .

Lockers has been struggling with the injury since the opening test win at Hull and hasn’t shown enough improvement meaning he has been ruled out of the final competitive game of 2018 .

With England having an unassailable 2-0 series lead Bennett sees no reason to risk players for the final test  and announced today that Sam Tomkins and Daryl Clark will also miss out through injury . Tomkins , who goes to Catalans for pre season training after his holiday , broke his hand in the 1st half at Anfield on Sunday but managed to finish the game whereas Clark was forced to leave the field with a rib injury . Neither player will be risked against the Kiwis on Sunday .

The England coach also confirmed that they won’t be appealing George Burgess’ 4 match ban for conduct out of spirit with the game , the alleged eye gouge , so there will be 4 changes for Sunday’s final test .
