Oldham confirm funeral arrangements for former star

Oldham have confirmed the funeral arrangements for former star Kevin Taylor, who was found dead in his home last week at the age of 73.

Taylor made 429 appearances for Oldham in the 1960s and 70s before moving to Leigh for £5,000, before going on to represent Swinton and St Helens. He also represented Lancashire, Great Britain and England.

The funeral will be held at Oldham Crematorium at 3pm on 1st April. However, due to government restrictions around the coronavirus, only ten people are allowed to be in attendance.

Eight of which will be close members of family. The others will be Taylor’s life-long friend Bob Henthorn and a member of the Oldham Past Players Association.

The family hope Oldham fans and many others will spare a thought for Kevin at the time of the funeral.

Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card, message or letter to the family can send it to Bob Henthorn at 109, Rosary Road, Fitton Hill, Oldham OL8 2SB and he will pass it on.
