Christopher Hamilton, chairman and owner of Oldham RLFC, was taken ill on Sunday.

That meant that he wasn’t able to be at Keighley to see the Roughyeds win 34-26 and he is currently in the Royal Oldham Hospital receiving treatment.

Head coach Stuart Littler was keen to pass on his well wishes from everyone involved at the club: “It goes without saying that all members of the squad, the coaching staff and the medical and support staff wish Chris a speedy recovery and a return to his duties as soon as he feels well again.

“I’m keeping in touch with him and the lads have been messaging him with their good wishes. All our thoughts are with him at this difficult time.”
