Oldham have signed Wakefield prop Titus Gwaze on a one-month loan deal.
The 20-year-old made 14 appearances for the club during a loan spell in 2019, as well as playing four Super League games for Trinity.
He was named in Chris Chester’s 21-man squad for last week’s opener against Hull KR but didn’t make the starting 17 and will now spend the next four weeks playing under Matt Diskin.
“I need more first-team rugby at a good level and that’s why coming to Oldham on loan suits me and suits Wakefield,” Gwaze told the Oldham website. “I loved it at Oldham last year and it should be even better this time in the Championship.”
Head coach Diskin added: “We’ve been trying for a couple of months or so to get Titus back here and, having watched him against Leeds (on Boxing Day), I can say that for a 20-year-old playing in the front-row he’s both explosive and dynamic. To finally get it over the line is very exciting.”
