Odds revealed for 2023 Super League Champions as St Helens, Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos all fancied

As the dust settles on the 2022 Super League season, most fans will already be looking forward to 2023.

St Helens supporters may be the exception as they look to enjoy every moment of their history breaking team.

With a 24-12 win over Leeds, the Saints cemented themselves as Super League’s most successful club with a 10th Super League title as well as a record breaking ninth Grand Final win in their 14th Grand Final appearance.

It was also a record breaking fourth consecutive title as they stand head and shoulders above the rest of Super League as the league’s benchmark side over the last four or five years.

Despite losing Head Coach Kristian Woolf who will join NRL new boys the Dolphins next year, the Saints are best placed to win the 2023 title and make it five Super League titles in a row.

That’s the view of Super League sponsors Betfred who have the Champions as 5/2 favourites to retain their trophy.

Wigan are second favourites after finishing second this year and winning the Challenge Cup. They’re 7/2 whilst Catalans, Warrington and Leeds are all 6/1.

The third place Giants are next at 9/1 having never played in a Grand Final. Under Tony Smith, Hull FC are 10/1 to win a first Super League title whilst Lee Radford’s Castleford Tigers are 12/1.

The odds surrounding semi-finalists Salford are quite surprising. After a terrific end to the season, the Red Devils are 40/1 to win the Grand Final.

Hull KR are next at 66/1 whilst Wakefield are a huge 100/1 to be crowned Super League Champions in 2023.
