NRL veteran Cameron McInnes could be on his way to Super League, after failing to find a new contract in Australia.
The 32-year-old currently plays for the Cronulla Sharks, and he has only just come back from an ACL injury, playing in the last three matches.
The one-time State of Origin player is off-contract at the end of the season, with Perth Bears tipped to be his landing spot should he depart Shark Park.
However, those tallks have seemingly broke down, with Nine’s Wide World Of Sports claiming that a deal couldn’t be agreed.
McInnes , who is Cronulla’s captain, was seen as someone who could spearhead the inaugual Perth squad, using his vast experience in the middle of the park to begin to lay a foundation in their opening seasons.
But, it now seems like McInnes will depart the NRL entirely, with a move to Super League looking more and more likely.
The report from down under did not name which Super League clubs were interested in the loose forward, just that he is more than open to a northern hemisphere switch.
