NRL star’s ex-wife could face jail time over allegedly sharing revenge porn

Recently in the NRL there have been more than a few links with the police and court cases.

Yesterday New Zealand Warriors star Josh Curran pleaded not guilty to assault charges, former Wigan Warriors and NRL star Brett Finch was recently sentenced over making child abuse material available and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Now there is another controversy but this time an NRL star is the victim rather than the guilty party.

This comes as an NRL star’s ex-wife has reportedly been charged with recording and distributing revenge porn and could face three years in jail according to Fox League.

The players is unnamed but plays for his country and the video, according to the Daily Telegraph, sees the player and his new partner having sex.

Police are said to allege that the porn was found by a friend of the woman’s young child on an iPad which has a shared cloud account.

The player is said to have made a formal complaint in October accusing his ex-wife of threatening to distribute the material publicly.

According to reports down under, the woman will allege that she was angry that the porn was discovered because her children have access to the tablet.

She is also said to have contacted the player to inform him that the images were disgusting.

However police allege the woman made threats during a phone call in October and subsequently they raided her home and found that the porn had been forwarded to a third party.

She is said to have pleaded not guilty in court.
