NRL star could make Super League move after being released from contract

The Brisbane Broncos have finalised the club’s NRL playing roster ahead of the opening round of the 2023 season.
Captained by Adam Reynolds, the Broncos will begin the year with a quality NRL squad of 28 players, strengthened by the inclusion of off-season signings, fullback Reece Walsh, halfback Jock Madden and prop Martin Taupau as well as the return of versatile outside back Jesse Arthars from loan.
They will play alongside a host of Broncos with State of Origin experience in Pat Carrigan, Kurt Capewell, Corey Oates, Selwyn Cobbo, Thomas Flegler, Payne Haas and Kotoni Staggs.
Also added to the NRL squad for 2023 are emerging talents, centre Deine Mariner, forward Xavier Willison and hooker Blake Mozer – all graduates of the Broncos Academy who have been promoted from Development List contracts.
Outside back Ethan Quai-Ward and prop Logan Bayliss also join the NRL squad after strong Hostplus Cup seasons with Broncos Affiliate Souths Logan Magpies in 2022.
As part of the process for finalising this season’s squad, forward TC Robati has been released from his contract with the club.
Robati was suspended from all club duties in late December after being charged with one count of sexual assault involving a woman at a Brisbane venue.
It was alleged that Robati placed his hand on the woman inappropriately at the venue, with the court case still going.
The forward was then charged with driving on a suspended license on Australia Day, compounding the forward’s woes after already being stood down.
