NRL star could be set for huge Super League move

We have seen some huge transfer stories making the rounds in recent times involving the likes of Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Hull FC.

Leeds Rhinos have drafted in Mickael Goudemand for 2024 and the future of Blake Austin is a constant talking point.

Meanwhile, Wigan Warriors have signed current Rhino Sam Walters, his former teammate and former Huddersfield Giants star Kruise Leeming and Tiaki Chan for next year and are linked with Adam Keighran for next season as well.

Warrington Wolves fended off the competition to sign Lachlan Fitzgibbon whilst Hull KR have drafted in NRL starlet Brad Schneider for the rest of the season.

Wakefield Trinity meanwhile have signed Josh Griffin from Hull FC in a bid to further boost their survival hopes.

Transfers seem divided in being for this year or next year but clubs will be keeping an eye on one market ahead of 2024 and that is the NRL and a new opportunity has emerged for clubs in the shape of Brandon Wakeham.

The halfback caught the eye in the World Cup last year for Fiji and was linked with a Super League move as he looked for a new club and was linked with Catalans Dragons prior to joining Wests Tigers.

However, the Mole of Wide World of Sports have linked the halfback with an exit from the club at the end of the year and Super League clubs, with the likes of Leeds, Wigan and Catalans needing halfbacks for 2024 and that could soon be true of Huddersfield, Hull FC and Leigh Leopards too, will likely be sniffing around.
