Manly centre Dylan Walker has been charged with two counts of common assault in Northern Sydney.
New South Wales Police were called to an Italian restaurant in Narraweena on Sunday night after a fight was reported involving the former Souths star.
It’s believed Walker had just picked up a takeaway when he tried to enter a random woman’s car. This led to two men intervening before a physical altercation occurred.
A statement released by NSW Police on Monday reads: “Police have been told, a man left the restaurant and attempted to enter the vehicle of a woman, unknown to him, parked outside the restaurant.
“When confronted, the man allegedly became aggressive and was allegedly involved in a physical altercation, assaulting two men before fleeing.”
Walker was then arrested a short time later at a nearby place and charged with two counts of assault.
He has been granted conditional bail and will appear before Manly Local Court on Wednesday 18 November 2020.
Manly Sea Eagles have since released the following statement: “We are aware of an alleged incident involving Dylan Walker in Narraweena early Sunday evening.
“The Club has reported the incident to the NRL Integrity Unit and will provide ongoing assistance with their investigation.”
