NRL star Cameron Munster’s future finally revealed

All year long there has been uncertainty surrounding Cameron Munster’s future, but now his future has been confirmed.
A hero to the Melbourne Storm fans for years, he has been the perfect man for the club to trust to guide them towards their next era following the loss of their holy trinity Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk.
But uncertainty shrouded his future when new club the Dolphins made a big play for him and were prepared to pay a lot more than the Storm to acquire his services as the centre piece of this new team.
However, Munster will not be joining the NRL’s newest club instead signing a new deal at Melbourne.
The 28-year-old has effectively confirmed he will spend the rest of his career with the club signing a deal which will keep him there until at least 2027.
On this, he said on the NRL website: “It is such an important decision for me, and in the end, Melbourne is where my heart is, Melbourne is where I want to play my footy, and Melbourne is the club I want to be a part of for the rest of my career.
“I’ve always wanted to be a one club player. Storm gave me the chance to play NRL and the club has become a second home for me since making my debut.”
Munster told Storm officials of his decision prior to departing to England for the World Cup where he will wear the number seven jersey despite being a six by trade for a very bizarre reason which you can read about here.
