NRL forward could be headed for Super League

Rugby League mistake

It’s that time of year when rugby fans not only look towards the finals but also find themselves glancing at next season wondering what might be.

Fans become obsessed with recruitment hoping that their team can assemble a squad capable of pushing for silverware. So, it comes as no surprise to see a number of rumours circulating in the media about players on the move.

Earlier this week Canterbury Bulldogs disclosed a list of players they were willing to release. They included State of Origin prop Dylan Napa. Subsequently, plenty of Super League fans began tipping him to join their club.

However, this article isn’t about Dylan Napa but rather Tariq Sims.

According to reports down under including one from 7news, the Aussie prop has been told be St George Illawarra Dragons that he can pursue a deal elsewhere as he looks to secure his long term future meaning a move to Super League could become a concrete option especially as his brothers have already made the leap.

Ashton Sims starred for Warrington before joining Toronto whilst younger brother Korbin has impressed at Hull KR this season.

Could Tariq follow in their footsteps?

Such is his quality, a number of teams would no doubt be interested especially those who need another big body in their pack next year.
