NRL line-ups revealed for Round 22

All 16 NRL clubs have confirmed their 21-man squads for this weekend’s round 22 fixtures.

Melbourne’s gritty 28-18 win over Manly was their 17th victory in a row as they continue to become firm favourites for the Premiership title.

Penrith remain hot on their heels after beating fifth-place Sydney, while Parramatta asserted their authority in the battle between third and fourth with an impressive 40-12 win over South Sydney.

With Manly’s play-off spot now secured, Gold Coast, Canberra and Newcastle are the front runners in the race for places seventh and eighth after victories on the weekend, while Cronulla and St George have slipped two points behind them on the back of losses.

It seems, meanwhile, that Canterbury are resigned to the wooden spoon as they sit six points behind 15th-placed Brisbane, with Sunday’s defeat to Wests being their seventh straight loss.

This round’s action is kicked off by league leaders the Storm hosting the finals-chasing Raiders on Thursday at 10:50am (UK time), with several of the weekend’s venues still to be decided due to COVID-19 restrictions in Australia.
