A number of Super League clubs have shown an interest in bringing Canberra Raiders hooker back to the Northern Hemisphere for 2026. Levi is off contract at the end of the current NRL campaign and is believed to be keen on a return to Super League.
The expectation is that clubs will agree to alter the overseas quota rules heading into next season, with a council meeting scheduled to take place on July 15 in Wakefield. At present, teams can have seven overseas players, but that figure looks set to rise, potentially to as high as 10, which would allow clubs a lot more space to recruit from competitions down under.
As such, clubs are starting to line things up for next season, ready for the trigger to be pulled when the changes are officially signed off. And, Levi is one of those players available.
Serious About RL understands that at least two Super League clubs have shown an interest in Levi with talks ongoing as they line things up.
Levi is not a stranger to fans on this side of the world of course, with the hooker spending one season with Huddersfield Giants earlier in his career. He made 30 appearances for the Giants in 2022, scoring four tries along the way as Huddersfield reached the final of the Challenge Cup under Ian Watson.
The hooker left Huddersfield on compassionate grounds before taking up a deal with Canberra and he has spent the last three seasons in the Australian capital. However, while he has made 28 NRL appearances for the club, just one of those outings have been this season, with a run out off the bench coming earlier this month against Sydney Roosters.
As such, the 29-year-old has spent a majority of his time playing in the New South Wales Cup this year.
An international of both New Zealand and Samoa, Levi would provide an experienced hooker option for those on the lookout for a number nine.
