NRL halfback destined for Super League

Brisbane Broncos legend Gorden Tallis believes the future of Anthony Milford is in Super League.

Milford won’t be offered a new deal at Red Hill beyond this season, with Broncos’ head of football Ben Ikin calling on the playmaker “to go and find himself a fresh environment.”

Tallis says Milford needs to reinvent himself, Fox Sports has revealed.

“I think England,” Tallis said.

“He’s gone back and played in the Intrust Super Cup and it’s like he’s playing with no confidence.

“We all know that as we watched him as a young kid at the Raiders he was a free-flowing ball-running type of player and he had a couple of great seasons at the Broncos.

“But that was six years ago when Milford was at his best and I think for the last four or five years it just hasn’t worked.”
