NRL forward Toby Rudolf has been cleared of any wrongdoing after being investigated by the governing body’s Integrity Unit.
The Sunday Telegraph had revealed yesterday footage of Rudolf reportedly exchanging heated words with an unidentified male in December 2021, which had then been passed on to the NRL.
Luckily for the Cronulla Sharks enforcer, the same report also suggests that neither Rudolf nor the opposing party engaged in any form of physical altercation during their disagreement, despite the incident looking fractious.
But, following in-depth reviews by the NRL itself and the Sharks, the prop has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Rudolf was reportedly trying to enter a taxi when the argument began, with an anonymous complaint then lodged against him following that incident.
Journalist James Phelps then claimed that Cronulla then alerted the league’s governing body once footage of the alleged incident became available.
Rudolf has made 43 appearances for the Sharks since debuting back in the first round of the 2020 NRL season.
It will be music to the NRL’s ears that the tough forward has no case to answer following a string of off-field incidents as teams gear up for another tilt at the finals in 2022.
