We have seen Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Hull KR all complete signings for 2024 whilst Leigh Leopards, Hull FC, Castleford Tigers and St Helens are linked with transfers of their own.
A common recruitment channel is of course the NRL as we have seen from Leeds Rhinos recently who have been targeting former Huddersfield Giants star Danny Levi from the Canberra Raiders.
This comes after they were originally linked to former Warrington halfback Tyrone May.
Speaking of Warrington they also turned to the NRL bringing in Newcastle Knights second-row Lachlan Fitzgibbon beating four other players to his signature including Leeds Rhinos.
Wigan meanwhile have also turned to the NRL bringing back former Leeds and Huddersfield hooker to Super League from Gold Coast Titans.
But it is Hull KR who have been swiftest to make their signings for 2024. They have drafted in Peta Hiku and Oliver Gildart for 2024.
There are plenty of other NRL targets being considered by Super League clubs including prop Peter Hola of the Canberra Raiders.
Born in 1999, he will turn 25 next year and stands at a huge six foot four weighing 110 kilograms.
He debuted in the NRL for North Queensland Cowboys in 2019 at the age of 20 making 12 appearances before joining the Raiders in 2021.
He was a Nines Tournament winner with the Cowboys in 2020 and would make for a very smart signing for a number of Super League clubs.
However, a sticking point is the fact he has an option in his contract allowing either him or Canberra to extend his stay to 2024.
That said, reports in Australia claim he is still likely to make the Super League move despite this.
Hull FC are a side who are in the market for a prop with Chris Satae headed to Catalans Dragons in 2024. This Hola would make an ideal signing as part of Tony Smith’s rebuild of the club which already appears to be having a great impact at the MKM Stadium.
Hull FC’s rivals Hull KR could also be interested. They have had some success in NRL signings already for 2024 but appear interested in a forward missing out on Tyson Frizell.
Meanwhile, Wigan Warriors are another club who could be interested as they look to revamp their pack with Brad Singleton headed to Salford Red Devils according to reports in recent times.
Warrington Wolves have been looking for middles since Thomas Mikaele and Josh McGuire left the club this season.
Leeds Rhinos have lost Sam Walters for 2024 and could lose Zane Tetevano. They may have Mickael Goudemand coming in but another new face would be ideal.
