As Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Hull FC have all made big announcements lately around transfers.
However, many of these clubs still face question marks over their halfbacks as do the Catalans Dragons with Mitchell Pearce and Tyrone May reportedly set for big NRL moves leading to interest in Theo Fages.
As for Leeds, the future of Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer is unclear with Tyrone Roberts and Chad Townsend previously linked.
Meanwhile, Wigan are in the market after Cade Cust transitioned to the role of nine.
Hull FC will need a replacement for Jake Clifford with reports he is set to join North Queensland Cowboys.
This comes as Leigh Leopards star Lachlan Lam is also linked with an NRL move as is Salford Red Devils star and Man of Steel Brodie Croft.
The stand-off was unplayable late into the 2022 Super League season.
He guided the Red Devils to the play-offs from an unlikely position tearing teams apart with his running game.
The stand-off won the Man of Steel as consequence and took Salford all the way to the semi-finals.
However a head injury ruled him out of the clash against St Helens and he could have been the difference in what was a disappointing day for the club.
The club were proactive about his future signing him to a huge eight year deal but that hasn’t stopped NRL club Wests Tigers from having an interest in the star stand-off with the Daily Telegraph reporting that he is now a potential target for the club.
Now the same publication have suggested Benji Marshall and the Tigers would be prepared to battle for his signature.
It has been reported by a number of sources down under that it would take a mammoth fee, a six figure sum to sign Croft.
According to reports from the Daily Telegraph, the NRL club could be ready to trigger what they refer to as “get out clauses” in Croft’s mammoth eight year deal which expires in 2030.
The Tigers are looking for a new halfback with former Leeds target Luke Brooks headed to Manly Sea Eagles in 2024.
