Lots of Super League stars have been linked with the NRL lately, such as Aidan Sezer at Leeds Rhinos, and Wigan Warriors star Kai Pearce-Paul alongside Huddersfield Giants livewire Will Pryce are certainly headed to the NRL with Newcastle Knights in 2024.
Meanwhile, St Helens star Lewis Dodd alongside teammate Jack Welsby has routinely been linked with a move down under.
On the other side of things, Warrington Wolves tied down George Williams to fend off NRL interest earlier this year.
Another halfback courting NRL interest is Leigh Leopards star Lachlan Lam.
He reportedly has a number of clubs chasing him including the Canberra Raiders who see him as a potential replacement for Jack Wighton as he heads to South Sydney Rabbitohs.
However, the halfback being spoken about the most lately is Jake Clifford at Hull FC.
One of Super League’s most in form players, Clifford has looked like the best number seven in Super League.
Following this former Hull FC and Hull KR star Paul Cooke said he could return to the NRL and now a club has entered the race to sign him in the shape of his former club the North Queensland Cowboys according to the Daily Telegraph who report:
“Wests Tigers have been offered Jake Clifford but a North Queensland homecoming looms more likely for the ex-Cowboys and Newcastle playmaker
“Clifford joined Hull FC this year but is expected to return to the NRL in 2024.
“The Cowboys have discussed signing the 25-year-old to add some depth to their halves.”
Hull Daily Mail have reported that an offer is on the table for the halfback but that the club will do everything they can to keep him.
Hull FC have turned a corner lately and will be hoping to continue their improved form in the Hull derby on Sunday against Hull KR.
