NRL badboy centre set for Super League move

Wests Tigers’ badboy centre Joseph Leilua is expected to leave the club.

The Tigers had the option of another year in their favour, but it’s highly unlikely that they will take the centre on for the 2022 season, according to Fox Sports.

Despite winning the Dally M Centre of the Year twice in his career so far, Leilua has had notorious spats with former boss Ricky Stuart at the Canberra Raiders as well as current head coach Michael Maguire at Wests.

Leilua has made 224 appearances in the NRL since making his debut for the Sydney Roosters back in 2010, but it seems as though he has run out of chances and will head to the Super League in a bid to rejuvenate his career that once appeared so fruitful.

Capped 15 times by Samoa, Leilua would certainly offer a dangerous outlet out wide, whilst Super League moves have been extremely beneficial for the likes of Ben Barba and Jackson Hastings in the past.
