Newcastle Thunder announce squad packed with World Cup stars

Newcastle Thunder are set to bounce back from their loss last weekend to Keighley Cougars having named a strong side to visit League One Doncaster.

Chris Thorman’s side lost out at Kingston Park last week whilst Doncaster lost to another Championship side in York.

This fixture will be a difficult one for Thunder on the road against a side who are expected to do well in League One, and as such Thorman has maintained much of the internationals in his squad.

Robert Tuliatu (Greece), Curtis Davies (Wales) and Alex Young (Jamaica) all starred for their nation during the World Cup and all three retain their place with Thorman making just five changes.

Those changes include three trialists not making the trip but the return of prop Mitch Clark to the squad.

Thunder announced their team news via Twitter and their website with the full squad listed below.
