Newcastle Thunder have confirmed three more players for 2021, including highly-rated Wakefield halfback Connor Bailey (above).
The 20-year-old made his Super League debut in 2020 and moves to the North East on a year-long loan in the aim of gaining more first team experience.
Thunder have also confirmed that scrum-half Reece Dean and long-serving centre Joe Brown have signed new deals for next season.
Dean impressed in the few games he played before the Covid-19 lockdown, while Brown will compete in his 13th season for Newcastle before retiring at the end of the year.
Thunder d of rugby Denis Betts said: “Connor has had a taste of Super League and has come through a good system at Wakefield and he is coming to us to develop by playing every week.”
“He has a strong kicking game, is solid defensively, is a good organiser and he is hungry for success.
“Reece is a great organiser and is very experienced and he has all the skills to control games.
“Joe is an evergreen club stalwart and he was in the best shape I’d ever seen him in at the start of last year.
“He wants to make the Rugby League World Cup so he is going to be very determined to be at his best for us to make those games.”
