New Zealand Warriors star Chanel Harris-Tavita wanted by three rival NRL clubs

Chanel Harris-Tavita is set for crunch contract talks with the New Zealand Warriors next week ahead of a potential deal to ward off any rivals.

The elusive halfback is currently being chased by three NRL clubs, including the Canberra Raiders according to Stuff, but the Warriors want to keep him.

It remains a difficult proposition for the talented youngster, however, with Harris-Tavita low down in the pecking order at the Warriors currently.

Shaun Johnson is basically guaranteed a place in the halves, but the Warriors picked up new recruit Daejarn Asi from the North Queensland Cowboys during the week and he enjoyed a stellar game in last week’s demolition.

The Warriors have also signed sensation from Sydney Roosters, Ronald Volkman, on a three-year deal for the future so it could be difficult for Harris-Tavita to earn a deal he wants.
