Greg Minikin has posted an update on his serious injury after being wheeled in for an operation.
Minikin will join Warrington from 2022, but was injured playing for Hull KR during their win over Castleford Tigers earlier in the season, with scans revealing an ACL injury.
That means that the former Castleford Tigers outside back will be out for around nine months, which will impact his Wolves career from the get go.
“Unfortunately Greg has done his ACL, which is a real blow for Greg,” Hull KR head coach Tony Smith originally said.
“He’s played his last game for the club. It’s a sad way for him to finish with us, particularly the situation we’re in at the moment.
“Anyone from Warrington will rate him because of what he’s capable of and what he’s done before.
“But players want to get over there and show them how good they are on the training park. He’s going to have to be patient on that and so will they.
“But it touches most players throughout their careers at some stage. He’s just going to have to deal with that, unfortunately.”
