Nene MacDonald promises to “heckle” Super League rival Konrad Hurrell

Nene MacDonald will take on the number four shirt at Leeds Rhinos following in the footsteps of the likes of Keith Senior.

Of course, the four shirt was recently worn by MacDonald’s friend Konrad Hurrell.

MacDonald is keen to take on Hurrell in Super League in 2023 and promises to heckle him:

“I caught up with him recently, I played with a long time and have a good relationship with him. It is good to wear his old jersey and hopefully I can do right by it.

“I will be heckling him heaps, he is a good brother, friend and a good mentor and it is exciting to play against him.”

MacDonald is really excited by the chance to play for Leeds: “I am very excited, coming through the changing rooms and seeing all the history the club. I can’t wait to get out there.

“They have a big reputation down under especially from the guys who have played for them and I spoke to a few boys and they say such high remarks about the club. They are such a big part of Super League and it’s very exciting to be part of it.”

“I was stuck between making a decision with a few clubs and I spoke to Paul Aiton and he said if there is one club he wishes he would have stayed at longer it was Leeds and he told me if I had a chance to join then I should take it with both hands.”
